Check my bike
One bike, five jobs. Check any oil against the manual's spec, see the pad shapes and compounds that fit, the brake fluid and coolant it calls for, and the chain and gearing it left the factory with — every fact sourced and dated.
Pick a bike above, then a job tab — oil verdicts, pad shapes, fluids and chain data all render here. With JavaScript off, the flagship summary below still shows what each bike's manual asks for.
Oil capacities are the manufacturer's with-filter-change figure, not the dry-rebuild total that circulates online. Always verify against your own owner's manual before you turn a wrench — this is educational reference, not a repair procedure.
What the oil tiers mean
On viscosity and heat
A heavier grade that's still inside your manufacturer's own temperature chart is a legitimate choice for sustained heat or hard track use — not a hack, and not an upgrade. Outside that chart, nobody with an engineering stake in your engine backs it. The oil check only clears grades your manual's chart already allows.
What five flagships ask for
| Bike | Viscosity | JASO / API |
|---|---|---|
| Yamaha YZF-R1 | 10W-40 | MA · API SG |
| BMW S1000RR | 5W-40 | MA2 · API SJ |
| Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R | 10W-40 | MA · API SG |
| Suzuki GSX-R1000 | 10W-40 | MA · API SJ |
| Honda CBR1000RR | 10W-30 | MA · API SG |
Every oil verdict is checked against the JALOS JASO T903 registered-oil list — the registry that says whether an oil's JASO claim is filed, not just printed on the bottle.
